Flotello can take reservations directly from customers — no phone calls or emails. You get a hosted booking page and a widget to embed on your own website. The reservation is only created after payment by card, so it doesn’t block dates “on someone’s word”.
Enabling it
Under Settings → Public booking you switch online booking on. The prerequisite is a connected Stripe account (Settings → Payments) — the money goes directly to you, Flotello takes nothing from the payments.
You set up:
- the page address — flotello.app/p/your-company based on the short name you choose,
- the look: a light or dark variant, an accent colour and your own logo,
- which vehicles are offered publicly — newly added vehicles stay hidden until you publish them.
Widget for your own website
In the same settings you’ll find the widget code. You copy it into your website (in WordPress the “Custom HTML” block, in Wix “Embed Code”) and the booking form appears right on your page. The widget adapts to the height of its content by itself, so it never gets cut off.
What the customer goes through
- picks a vehicle and dates — the calendar shows only free and busy, no details of other people’s reservations,
- picks a handover and return time; if you track handover slots, only free times are offered,
- ticks the extra services you offer with the vehicle,
- fills in their details (you decide the scope of required fields under Settings → Customers),
- agrees to your terms and conditions, if you have them in place,
- pays by card.
After payment the reservation is confirmed, both you and the customer get an email and the dates appear in the calendar. The reservation rules (minimum length, lead time, buffer) apply strictly to online customers — only staff can override them.
The customer is matched by email: if they’re already in your address book, the reservation attaches to the existing record and no duplicate is created.
Your own terms and conditions
Under Settings → Rental company you add your own terms and conditions — either as text, or by uploading a PDF. The customer opens them right in the booking form and cannot proceed to payment without agreeing.
The consent is recorded in the reservation history, including the version of the terms in force at that moment. When you edit the terms, the version increases — so on older reservations it remains traceable exactly what the customer agreed to. The terms can be replaced or removed entirely at any time.
Mind the difference: these are YOUR terms towards the rental company’s customers. Flotello’s terms towards you are a separate document you agreed to at sign-up.
Security
The public page shows only what the customer needs to book: vehicles, free dates and prices. It never reveals other customers’ details, your internal notes, purchase prices or the fleet records.
