Does the system check driving licences and driver age?
You record the customer's driving licence number and date of birth; you decide which fields are mandatory. Scans of ID documents are deliberately not stored — for data protection reasons.
How is excess mileage calculated?
Set a daily mileage allowance and a price per extra mile for each vehicle. Mileage is taken from the handover and return reports, and the difference is added to the statement and, if you wish, the invoice automatically.
Can it handle van rental by the hour, for example for moving house?
Yes. Every vehicle has an hourly and a daily rate, a minimum rental period and optional seasonal pricing. Extras such as moving blankets or a trailer are added as line items.
How does a card deposit work?
Once you connect Stripe, the deposit is charged to the customer's card and refunded in a few clicks after a clean return. Any deduction for damage or fuel has a paper trail in the system.
Does Flotello issue VAT invoices?
Yes, straight from the booking — rental, excess mileage and deducted deposit are pre-filled. Continuous numbering, all required details, sent by e-mail. Works whether or not you are VAT-registered.
Can customers book a car online?
Yes, via a public booking page or a widget on your website. An online booking only exists once the deposit has been paid by card, so no slot is blocked for nothing.
